Mikko Sushi - Carlsbad

We enjoyed a family dinner with a group of nine, including a high chair for one child and a newborn. The restaurant provided us with ample space, and our waitress was incredibly helpful. The food was delicious and was served quickly. My only minor disappointment was that the appetizer arrived just a minute before the main course. This timing is something I really dislike, and it's usually why I avoid ordering appetizers!

Pros: The waiter was very friendly and efficient. The furnishings were clean. Cons: The sushi was below average and not as fresh as I expected, considering the restaurant's proximity to the sea. The rice was also disappointing.

The food here is delicious! Prices are reasonable for the quality. The service is excellent, and the seating is clean and spacious both indoors and outside. Parking can be a bit tricky during busy times, but overall, this is one of my favorite places for sushi.

I give this restaurant a BIG 5-star rating. My family and I have been coming for years. Even if there is a new management, their food is as pleasant as before and even more refreshing as the environment. It has this modern but earthy accent and this is one of my favorite things. As soon as we went to the hosts greeted us with a warm greeting it as busy as it was, we sat within a few minutes. The service is great, the food is served hot, and the fish is so fresh, it just melts in the mouth. The sushi kitchen also went the extra mile to please our appetites. We asked them to make a special dish called shrimp boat that they made amazing, it was exactly what was expected. I have made so many memories in this restaurant it is like my second home and I am thrilled to make many more. I recommend bringing your friends and family for a satisfying meal.

Pleasantly surprised. Their roles were delicious. This place gets a 5 star because of the staff. Waiter offered to not make the extra rolls we ordered when we realized it was too much food. Food was so good we took them to go .
