Bruegger's Bagels - Carlsbad

The Smokehouse Brisket Egg Sandwich blew me away and was the best bagel I've ever had at Bruegger's. The hazelnut coffee was, as always, rich in flavor. (I apologize for the limited picture of the sandwich; I was caught up in enjoying it when I realized I should take a moment to write a review. It was so good that it completely distracted me from my goal of finishing it!)

They make the bagels fresh on-site and offer a great variety. I chose this place because the restaurant next door had a long wait for Father's Day, and I’m really glad I did. I would definitely return again.

Great bagels, their 'Everything ' bagel is a perfect balance between onions, garlic, and seeds, which you know is a big deal! Service always friendly and helpful. Quick.

The staff is extremely friendly, and while nothing in life is perfect, this place comes pretty close in terms of both price and flavor satisfaction. I'd raise a dark roast toast to that!

I ordered a whole bagel with cream cheese and lox, specifically requesting just a light spread of cream cheese. Instead, I received a pretty hard bagel that had been slathered with cream cheese as if someone had just dumped a spoonful on it. They also added red onions, capers, and tomatoes, even though I clearly only asked for lox and light cream cheese—no capers or onions, no tomatoes. It seems like they might be overwhelmed with orders, and a better system of taking notes would help improve accuracy. Unfortunately, the bagel itself wasn’t great; it was a bit tough, and the lox was just okay—smoky but nothing special.
