Carriage House Tavern - Carlisle

Edit: Unfortunately the Carriage house is closed and according to their Facebook page, 'indefinitely '. The outside may give the impression that it 's your typical hole in the wall, but it is not. Been there three different times and each time I have loved it. The wait staff is excellent. Nothing, but a very friendly experiance from them. For the food, I 've gotten their Prime Rib, Reuben, and the Delmonico steak. Not a single problem with any of it. It was all very flavorful. The steaks are better if not the best that I 've had in the area. And the prices for some of the menu items. Most other places you get a 16 oz. Delmonico cut, you 're looking at around maybe $22 give or take. Carriage house is 16.99 plus tax. This has to be my favorite place to go for some steak or just anything else really. Love the interior too. Very nice atmosphere.

The staff is friendly and the service is quick. The atmosphere is comfortable and casual. The salads are delicious, and the steaks, seasoned to perfection, are truly out of this world. The lamb lollipops are incredibly tasty, and the crab cakes are wonderfully plump and delicious. We visit this restaurant often and have never been disappointed.

We had our first visit to the Carriage House, and we will certainly be returning. The food was outstanding, and the service was exceptional. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Update: August 6, 2019: Unfortunately, the Carriage House Tavern has closed down. It was a wonderful establishment, and I'm not sure why they had to shut their doors, but they will be missed by many! Best wishes to you, Vicki and Pamela, wherever you are and whatever you're up to!
