Harvey's - Carleton Place

Today on Sunday, July 18, 2021, I ordered two original combos at the restaurant. Unfortunately, the burgers were not seasoned properly and did not have pickles as requested. Both the burgers and fries were cold, as if they had been waiting for a customer for a while. This was very disappointing, especially considering that my previous experiences with indoor dining at this Harvey's location were excellent. I would advise against using the Drive-Thru service.

The manager is extremely slow, and the woman at the counter was yelling at the delivery driver in front of all the customers. This is not the type of place I would choose to dine at. Furthermore, the woman always forgot what toppings she had put on my burger, resulting in it being served cold. The fries were also soggy. Overall, I will never return to Harvey's in Carleton Place. I would rather wait and go to Ottawa for a better dining experience.

The meal I ordered was a double cheeseburger without the bun due to dietary restrictions. I also requested a baked potato and a side of mixed vegetables. The experience was a bit odd as the person handling the chicken also handled the rolls without changing gloves. I returned my meal and saw that the chicken area should have been separate from where the rest of the food was prepared. There was confusion about the side dish options and my cheeseburger was missing the cheese. I decided to take my meal to go as the cleanliness of the space was questionable. It is important for the staff to communicate clearly and take precautions to ensure food safety.

Quite typical harveys menu, prices, etc. cleanliness and personal are above average. location is a plus and parking is very good.

On our way to Ottawa we stopped off here for lunch. I really enjoyed the Chicken Sandwich and my husband had a hamburger. Really a good idea put the 2 businesses together.
