Gourmet Grub - Carleton Place

What a great time we had tonight at Chez Lucien! A group of six with no reservation, they found us a nice booth on the lower level.

Atmosphere was very "pubby" downstairs though the upstairs balcony seating seemed a little more private.

Hadn't been here in a few years and wanted to try their burger again for lunchWent for my usual choice, the Frida and Diego burger.

We stopped on the weekend for lunch and had the best poutine - it has pulled pork, and cheese curds and simply excellent gravy. The portion was enough for 2, and both of us ate too much but it was soooo good.. They have many types of poutine that I want to go back to try. Certainly worth the drive.

I was seeing all these fry stands along 17. I stopped at the Gourmet grub stand. I had a BBQ pulled pork on homemade toasted bread with bacon and cheese on it(6.25ca). They also had hot dogs, fresh cut fries, burgs, poutines, and fish. They are on facebook. The food was very good. It is off the corner a little bit of Hwy 15 and Hwy 7. SE corner.
