Thai Mali - Carindale

Thai Mali restaurant provides excellent Thai cuisine and exceptional service at extremely reasonable prices. The menu features all the classic Thai dishes, but diners are encouraged to try something new and explore delicious, unique flavors.

A group of four of us visited this restaurant. Two had visited before and found it to be great hence the return. Ordering was difficult. The entrees came out but they were dry and over cooked. Our mains came out and they were large portion sizes but again two of the mains were dry and one meal did not have on it what was originally asked for. The waiter offered us the banquet steamed rice, meaning if we wanted more we could ask and they would bring us as much as we like. Unfortunately our "banquet rice consisted of two small individual serves and no more. The service was terrible. We could never get anyone's attention to get more rice or order more drinks. Paying the bill was another issue. We waited for while for two of the waiters to work out on a calculator how much the total was. There were people waiting in the line to pick up their takeaway orders. Because they were taking so long to sort our bill the people in the line asked if they could be served before us because there food was sitting on the counter getting cold. Unfortunately will not be attending again. There is a lot more better Thai restaurants around.

We eat here often and are never disappointed. The service is excellent and the food is served without lengthy delays, and never disappoints in flavor, quality and overall satisfaction. Great variety on menu, generous servings, in a casual friendly environment that is always spotlessly clean.

Thai Mali continues to impress with its delicious food year after year! A favorite among locals, this restaurant is perfect for dining in or grabbing takeout.
