TL;DR: Even among those who have tried a whole lot of pizza in your life, this is one kind that I bet hasn't come around very often in those travels. Stepping away from the familiarity of the chains, and the local, regional pizzerias that get a decent following, these suckers are bold, full of flavour, and get a decent cut of value from it all. Trying various sorts of pizza, they do well in each one and don't forget that a few sides to pizza usually go pretty well. Service is some of the friendliest with delivery, it can easily feed a football team at a moment's notice, and definitely gets a thorough recommendation all round. One thing in the world of gourmands that seems to not go too appreciated is just having a sheer earnestness about what the cook in turn wants to do. They don't follow what is authentic nor are trends really on their mind either. All they want to do is make some good food, and in doing that they try some new things out to see how they work. Sometimes, this is the best route as it gets some good attention from word of mouth. That is what Pizza Brothers is about, bucking trends from all angles. The effort here is certainly noticed, and highly acknowledged. Given the time, it was a welcome find and surprise, and it has been one I have looked forward to trying for some time; and it was one time, that the hype was well met. Wrestlemania weekend, baby! Out of all of the PPVs that show throughout the year on the WWE Network, this is the one that all wrestling fans look forward to and make the big plans around. For this little black duck, as it usually goes with any PPV, it is onto getting some food delivered to watch in front of it. Now, when it comes to the big four PPVS, the idea when it is possible is to get a whole lot of pizzas or something else big. With Wrestlemania being one to top them all, without a doubt it was going to be the delivery to top them all. So that meant finding the right place, and boy was I in luck in that regard. Here it is, after several months of anticipating trying it out we have ourselves Pizza Brothers. While it is possibly best to view this experience live, busy schedule put it forward about a day and a half and the Tuesday night was when I arranged the order to come and to be shut off from the world for the entire evening. Logging the order in, paying up, and putting when to come (since last time, the arrangement has changed with the site), and just waiting for that car to arrive. Service was pretty good here, and they seemed like a couple of nice individuals that came along. This order needed a couple of folk to bring it right inside (that itself will always be seen as a plus with service). Heck, and it doesn't stop there. Without any extra charges, there were upgraded sides of garlic bread, and three pizzas got requested with anchovies on them and by success they had them. Ergo, no complaints are present in that regard. The way the menu is set up, this is a great call back to many old-style pizza places. Pizza was not the only thing they served; they also had quite a few sides with ribs being the most notable. There are four styles of pizza which they have, five if you count calzones as one. In each of these is a varying range of topping options, that are never boring. They have their signature fully loaded range, in which the imagination of the chef has really run wild then. For what might be the designated basics, we then go onto the premium range. For the ones who just want an Aussie or the regular Supreme this is it. The big bonanza comes when it is with the New York pizzas. The others come in regular and large, with the exception of square puff which are only large; the New Yorkers are in and inch. Simple is as it goes, with the Italian mindset of keeping it simple being in mind and a thin crust making it perfect to fold in half and eat. I ain't been to New York, though I have tried New York slice, and I can easily see why this is such a cherished snack. They have nothing to hide, nothing to impress with new tricks, but just using old fashioned techniques that do them well. Then there is the square crust, which has more of a puff pastry base, and the toppings on this lot are anything but subtle. This only comes in one size, and that is a large. After that, the calzones appear on the menu, which take relatively simple recipes, then they are folded over and encased before being baked in an oven. This way, the cheese become like molten. If the selection of pizzas was not enough to baffle clients with the sheer amount of choice, the next lot of cabs off the rank involve some pasta, and various kinds of finger foods. For the pasta, it is simply a range of the classic dishes some of them Italian, some of them adapted from Italian cuisine. When it comes to the finger foods, starting them off are the ribs and wings. With the latter, several different basting sauces are available and the former is a meal unto itself no matter how big the ribs order is. Getting to the last lot includes the sides, which are bits of this, bits of that including different breads, chicken bits, potatoes and whatnot; plus to round off the meal, a few chocolate-based desserts are available, plus the usual range of sodas. Getting onto the delicious pizzas and stuff, there were four different kinds of snacks to start off with and seven different sorts of pizza opting to get a diverse range of them. To say this was a feast and a half would be a vast understatement, and as it keeps on being brought up these two suckers in the view are pretty big eaters themselves. Going off on the starters, there was the garlic bread, some chicken wings, a carbonara calzone, and garlic balls. Each one of these was pretty good and tasty, doing a good job at satiating the appetite. Nothing too outstanding was with the garlic bread, the general kind that is a baguette with plenty of garlic butter no complaints there. The garlic balls were akin to that, in aranchini ball form. That made the explosion of garlic butter all the more delicious. Out of the flavours of chicken wings, I went with barbecue pesto which had a real smokey flavour to it the meat off the bone was tender and juicy. Could have got a dozen orders of these, no sweat. Finally, the calzone it was one that sounded too good to pass up. A winning combination of mozzarella cheese, bacon, Spanish onion, Paremsan cheese, and garlic. All of this made a strongly flavour, creamy sauce ozzing right out of well-baked pastry. Absolutely recommended. After all of that, it is high time to move onto the pizzas. Seven truly great selections, each one characteristic and with its own strengths. All were pipping hot, straight from the oven. Going off on one which is no surprise from any bachelor, a fully-loaded meatlovers. The selection of flesh from here included beef, chorizo, pork rib fillet, barbecue chicken, rashers of bacon and pepperoni, all with a smokehouse rub, and a Tennessee drizzle, on a barbecue base. It was tasty, with tender bits of meat all round, a all-round smokey aroma that suited this kind of pizza really well, and the chicken and pork were especially tender to contrast the crispy nature of pepperoni and chorizo. Thumbs are definitely up with this one. Getting the big boss out of the way, the New York style pepperoni is what is says on the box. Adding some anchovies to the flavour base of garlic oil, shallots, and red onions was a good call, giving it that strong taste and bite. This took up nearly half the table, and the thin crust was the only way it could possibly have worked. Simple recipe does not need much elaboration, it worked and next one. Adding anchovies again, next is the supreme. A mixture of red onion, mushroom, capsicum, ham, pepperoni, and olives are complimented by a mixture of herbs. Through each one of their difference in texture, taste, and form, the ingredients wholly mix together Supreme with anchovies: red onion, mushroom, capsicum, ham, pepperoni, olives, mixed Italian herbs. Let's just put it this way: there is a reason this is always an option, and it is because it is reliable, and works. The last one with anchovies added was a garlic prawn and bacon. In addition to those three ingredients, there was capsicum, and garlic plus both bocconcini and Parmesan cheese all on a hollandaise sauce base. The prawns were plump and juicy, the bacon was delicious and especially looked good by them using giant rashers. When I am talking about bacon rashers here, it means whole big bits that are put on top of the pizza and cooked. That is one definite mark in their favour, as small as it is. The capsicum was sweet and crunchy, plus the rest went really well together to create a suitable, creamy texture. Next up was six cheeses, and the name of the game all the way through is creamy: the base is a creme fraische, then the cheeses are mozzarella, feta, Camembert, shaved Parmesan, blue cheese, and even some haloumi. This was simply delicious, getting the strengths of each cheese to work perfectly, with a piping lot layer of deliciousness. And hey, haloumi on a pizza was a top idea that I am surprised I haven't seen before. If there was one that might have to be the weakest of the lot, the designated one is right here: Steak n' Bake. It was still delicious, though I don't reckon steak on a pizza does it much justice in the end. There was still a good flavour from the beef, and it went well with soft potato, complimentary red onion, a range of herbs, and Parmesan cheese, all on a garlic base. When something is inventive like this, essentially a good steak meal made into pizza form, points will definitely be given. That is the case right here.Last and not least, was Peri Peri Nice! Chicken pizzas can be a gamble, and lets say this one gave a decent return upon trying. The chicken meat was barbecued before hand, which helped give it a slightly smokey aroma that did justice to it, and added to the flavour to the remainder of the pizza. The sauce was tomato-based, and had the peri-peri marsala infused into it. It was relatively simple from then out, having plump cherry tomatoes, capsicum, red onions and sliced chillies to compliment it, and that was finished off with a Portuguese drizzle. Very tasty, just like the rest of them. As much as was ordered right here, it is merely a taste of what is offered. It also did very well as leftovers for the next couple of days, as pizza always does. As cliche as it sounds, the menu here is one really tempting one that demands many revisits. If true honesty had to be made, even if there was a dozen pizzas to be selected, that would still be an arduous task. This is because as they all sound so tasty and delicious. Without a doubt, even when thinking of putting the situation to the side to objectively rate them, this very much goes down as one of the best pizza places that is around the local area. What I especially like about them all was the way they combined the structure of the Italian style of pizza that is, a thin crust with the kind of Australian style where they will try out several Italian influenced toppings but really try anything out. It has a lot of the favourites, and it experiments around with what they have. An edge and advantage that they have, which is especially pointed out to those who prefer it, there is no ambiguity when looking onto the pizza to see what the toppings are. Everything is bright, bold, big, and distinct from the sight alone, and the flavour adds a whole other dimension. Whatever way that it can be cut, they have a good character here that is doing their own thing, inventing their own pizza, and fully realising one of the strengths that has come to light with pizza places they are great for planning parties, or catering to some sports events. If anything was truly worthy of topping off the Wrestlemania weekend belated albeit than I am so glad that this winner did just that.
To be honest I never really leave reviews on sites, but after my second experience there I felt I had to. The whole experience continued from start to finish, with zero manners on the phone call whilst I was placing my order rised my eyebrows. I was told it was a 30min wait, I went into the store 34mins after I placed my order, I was told it'll be another 20mins......exactly 1hr after I placed my order I received my meal, which I only ordered 1 pizza & some chicken wings. As I waited that extra 30mins, 4 different costumers came to the counter & said I simply can not wait any longer, cancel my order. I love my wings but I was only able eat 3 of 10 as they were that ordinary & the pizza was yes better, but definitely not anything to write home about.
Thought I'd give this place a go since it recently opened. Ordered on the phone to save time, but I was kept waiting for an extra ten minutes once I got there. The service was lacking- staff were chatting casually with each other and their non- staff friends out the back in the kitchen and not paying much attention to customers. A bit disappointing and concerning for a new local business in a competitive pizza neighbourhood. Once I got my food home I was relatively pleased- good, fresh pizza with a nice base and decent toppings. Price and quality fits into the 'better than fast food, but definitely not a restaurant ' category. If that's what you're after then this place hits the mark and is worth trying.
Favourite Italian place to go to, I go here basically every month with my boyfriend the service is really good, and generally no real crowd so queueing
