Tŷ Madeira - Cardiff

I randomly picked this restaurant for lunch for my father, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. It's conveniently located near the railway station, which was perfect since it was pouring rain! The restaurant itself is more spacious than it appears from the outside. The food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely recommend visiting!

As always, a real delight to eat here. The staff were super friendly, nothing was too much. Service was swift, food was excellent and surroundings spotlessly clean and welcoming. Great value for money, can't wait to go back again!

Really enjoyed the lunch there with my husband. Reasonable price and good portions of fresh ingredients, especially the seafood. Nice atmosphere and the service was excellent. I would highly recommended.

What a delight! Madeira oasis within the city. We had a dinner at Tŷ Madeira during our visit to Cardiff and it was the highlight of the evening such authentic Portuguese cuisine we haven’t experienced in the UK. Lobster pasta had special notes in it’s taste and was of exceptional quality. Fish stew was terrific and sardines were the best I’ve had. Service was top notch as well. Ambience gets more romantic and magnificent the deeper you go into the restaurant. Must visit during your Cardiff stay, especially if you like authenticity, seafood, fish and proper service.

This is one of the best Portuguese restaurants in the UK. As soon as you walk in, you can see the high quality of the fish and meat that will be prepared for your meal, and the open kitchen allows you to follow the cooking process. The dining experience brought me great joy for several reasons: the food was of excellent quality, cooked to perfection, and had a wonderful homemade taste. The atmosphere was inviting, and the staff were incredibly friendly. I highly recommend paying a visit!
