Contribuiți la feedbackI recently enjoyed a bank holiday brunch at The Early Bird, a restaurant that has been on my list for some time. It was definitely worth the wait! There is nothing better than enjoying brunch in the Welsh sun. We savored the delicious cowboy beans with an extra sausage on the side, the delightful hazelnut stack (the smallest brioche bread I've ever had), and the beautiful cinnamon rolls with strong frosting that I couldn't resist. The menu is fantastic, with creative and delicious options served in a beautiful setting. The Early Bird does not take bookings as it is first come, first served, but you will not be disappointed!
This quaint little hidden gem of a café was a lovely discovery. A friend and I had planned to visit before the pandemic, but never got the chance before it closed. After waiting 8 months, we finally made it back and were very pleased with our experience. We sat outside in the back, where it was pleasantly warm under the cover, providing some sun protection. Everything was set up for social distancing, as expected. We placed our order online through my friend's phone, which was easy, and received a table number. I opted for a sweet breakfast of strawberry and cream brioche French toast, which was absolutely amazing, perfect for those with a sweet tooth. I also enjoyed a delicious hot chocolate. My friend had something savory and also enjoyed her meal. We definitely plan to return to try more dishes from the diverse menu, which also offers options for vegans and vegetarians. Each dish seemed to have an extra twist to make it better than your standard breakfast fare. The pastries were delivered by their sister company, Friends in Lick. I highly recommend this place.
