Carluccio's Cardiff Mermaid Quay

The first reason for the star deduction was that we saw a promotion outside and online for two courses for £14.95. Unfortunately, when we asked about it, we were told that the offer was no longer available. We tried to find the information online but might have missed it; they should definitely remove the sign outside to avoid confusion. The second reason was that we were initially offered sparkling water instead of still water. It took three different staff members asking us if we had ordered drinks before we were given the option for what we wanted. It felt like a bit of an upsell tactic. So, while they didn’t earn full stars, I’ve only taken off one star instead of two because the restaurant is truly amazing. The food was excellent, and the service was very good. The facilities and atmosphere were delightful, and the tasteful music really enhanced the evening. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the restrooms were well maintained. As for dessert, it was so delicious that I managed to eat half of it before I could even take a picture! If you have the chance, I highly recommend visiting this restaurant.

It's a lovely spot for a conversation. The service was a bit slow, but my friend really enjoyed their meal, while I particularly liked the dessert (the tiramisu in the photo). However, I wasn't a big fan of the pasta and starter, as they were quite spicy for my taste. The baked goods looked appealing. Overall, it has more of a café vibe, focusing on coffee and cake, rather than a full-fledged restaurant experience.

Beautiful people who served very beautiful Italian cuisine! not to mention the location with a pleasant view of the sea and the bay.

I visited this restaurant with my wife tonight and had a wonderful experience. The food was fantastic, and the service was excellent. The cocktails were also very enjoyable. This place is far superior to Two G in Cardiff. We would definitely return, as the dining was delightful.
