Baccalieu Trail Fine Dining Bed and Breakfast

We took my parents to Baccalieu Trail on August 4th to celebrate their 51st wedding anniversary.We started with a photo shoot of them in the lucjous front garden and in the gazebo.As usual we were greeted like family by Craig and escorted to one of the intimate dining rooms overlooking the harbour front. It's decor has been tweaked a bit with some eclectic pieces but for the most part retains its original features.Drinks were served first, including a favourite of mine (a shandy) that wasn't on the menu. Craig ran out to the store to buy the lemonade especially so Chef Bruce could make it for me!Between the four of us, we sampled each of the three appetizers...Asian soup, vegetarian spring rolls and beet & goat cheese salad. All were tasty and beautifully presented.Then we had three of the four entrees...the Cajun cod, the roasted breast of chicken and the molasses and maple pork tenderloin, all accompanied by various vegetable strips and roasted herb potato wedges. Our only complaint would be that it was a challenge to finish the generous portions! Finally, three of us had the Bananas Foster and one had the mango sorbet. Both were just light enough to enjoy despite our full bellies.No doubt the perfect finish to the evening was a serenade for my parents by Chef Bruce with Craig on back up vocals. Their exquisite rendition of After All These Years reduced us all to tears! We'd highly recommend the Baccalieu Trail for fine dining for any reason. An evening out there may be costly compared to other venues in town but no where else can match it for quality, atmosphere or personal service!Valerie Noel & Paul Wilson

We were 2 couples who dined on one of the nights we were staying at their rooms. There was a good selection of courses and the food was prepared and served to an excellent standard by the chef, Bruce.there was also a small, but good choice of quality wines. The dinner was well rounded off by Bruce giving a rendition of some delightful songs accompanied by his guitar. A memorable evening.

We spent one night in this bed and breakfast. It was fabulous. We were treated like favourite relatives by Craig and Bruce. We stayed in the Ocean View room. It was huge and beautifully decorated and appointed. I would make a trip to Carbonear just to stay here again - and I would have dinner here the next time. Breakfast was delicious. A definite 5star exoerience.

We had dinner at this B&B and stayed at Salmon Cove at Willaims Rest. The dinner was excellent, nice atmosphere, and great service - I would recommend Baccalieu Trail Fine Dinning.

Bruce the owner and chef was so great about contacting and reviewing my wife's allergy ( gluten). He prepared such an amazing meal for us. From start to finish the dinner, the way the food was prepared and displayed was 5 star. We would like to thank the chef for ending our evening with a fine rendition of a NFLD song.
