La Unica Bakery - Carbondale

It’s always a delight to visit this place. From the enticing aromas to the consistently friendly staff, and the delicious cookies, cakes, and more—there are countless reasons to keep returning!

I sampled a range of their desserts, but unfortunately, everything was either dry or too crunchy and lacked freshness. On a positive note, the staff member was very friendly and attentive, and they do offer a wide selection. I plan to return to try their bread, but I won't be coming back for the sweets.

I purchased a white roll, a sweet roll, and jalapeño bread. Unfortunately, both the white and sweet rolls were not fresh and quite dry. However, the jalapeño bread was excellent!

Welcoming. Quaint bakery. Many Guatemalan pastries, from the dry/crisp to the moist rich. They have both traditional and baked flan. Their jalapeño bread is a regional rarity. Imagine a 9-inch long french bread roll, stuffed with a mixture of cream cheese and jalapeño slices. Tear it in two and eat from the insides to the ends.
