Contribuiți la feedbackWe had a confirmed reservation for my husband birthday, but arrived the restaurant closed for a private event. we could have been really happy that we had informed us about a certain time, so that we were disappointed in a special occasion, especially after we had traveled a way there.
We are new in the opposite. the room felt like a diner. no character. service was friendly but underoccupied. the food was good.
Never disappointed. eating is always excellent. I had the crispy chicken sandwich and my man had the NY strip with the tweeper ring. very good eating and excellent service. we will definitely return.
Food was fantastic. They were dealing with a wedding party while I was dining. Even though service was a little slow it was understandable with the large party going on. It maybe added only about 10 minutes to my dinner. Our waitress was running around like crazy and still took good care of us. Thank you. Food was delicious and hot when presented. Steaks were cooked to our liking. Small restaurant good ambiance and pleasant people working there.
The first hint should have been being the only people in the restaurant until we were almost finished when another couple arrived. The waitress obviously was very attentive and friendly. I ordered an extremely, extremely dry Grey Goose martini, with only a drop or two of vermouth with a twist of lemon. it came back a yellow color and tasted of heavy vermouth. The waitress said it could be because of the lemon twist, but took it back and the manager made another one. This one came back a slightly more pale shade of yellow and still tasted of too much vermouth. The manager said it was the brand of vermouth that discolored it, but I 've been drinking vodka martinis with a twist for 40 years and between those I 've made myself or had in other restaurants have never had one that was made the way I asked and wasn 't clear as water (even a drop or two of even yellow vermouth mixed with clear vodka shouldn 't make the entire martini yellow like a chardonnay) The appetizer of scallion hush puppies was good. My wife had the salmon and said it was almost like the salmon and mashed potatoes had been microwaved as there were spots that were warm and others that were cold. I had the Chicken Scarpariello and it looked nothing like the dish I 've had elsewhere. The chicken was under seasoned(one piece even had tendons running through it), the banana peppers tasted straight out of the jar, the sausage was bland, and the penne pasta was sticking together. The sauce was thin and tasteless. We didn 't even care to try dessert. We 've dined at KOL many other times including my birthday with 20 friends, but not recently. And while the waitress and manager were friendly, I don 't know that we 'll be going back soon...
