The food was outstanding, particularly the beef ribs, which practically melted off the bone. They were slow-cooked, tender, and incredibly flavorful. One member of our group ordered the gnocchi, which was also delicious. The restaurant offers several dining options, including indoor seating, a verandah, or outdoor pavement seating. There was a special buffet available for £395 that looked fantastic, featuring a wonderful selection of dishes. If I had been really hungry, I would definitely have chosen that option.

Two elements truly stood out during our meal at GINJA: the exceptional service and the absolutely incredible dessert! Our waitress was fantastic—very friendly, attentive, and always wearing a smile. It was among the best service we encountered during our two-week trip to South Africa. The food throughout the evening was exquisite. Every dish was bursting with flavor, and my partner remarked that his Seared Tuna starter was one of the best he had ever tasted. But the pinnacle of our meal was the dessert; we indulged in the Chocolate Fondant, which was a dream come true for chocolate lovers. It was cooked to perfection—warm, gooey, and utterly delightful. If you’re searching for a delicious meal in Cape Town, GINJA is a must-visit. It offers a stylish environment, great value for the quality and location, and fantastic staff. Just be sure to leave room for dessert!

I went for a brunch with my wife and we stayed from noon until 3 PM. The view from our table by the window was beautiful, making it delightful to watch the lively scene outside! The staff were outstanding, from Hazel, the welcoming hostess, to Josh, who assisted us at our table, and the chefs at the buffet brunch. There were so many dishes and a wonderful variety, all of which were delectable! I particularly loved the range of desserts; as a sweet tooth, I felt like I was in paradise. I highly recommend this place. Additionally, there was live piano music, and the pianist was fantastic!

Ideal location to watch Table Mountain, or boats passing along the waterfront. Excellent meals service. Totally recommend . . . More recently, Eggs Benedict for breakfast

I took a chance on this place, I booked a table for 7 for yesterday (Saturday 28 October 2023) for my moms birthday, upon our arrival we were greeted by the waitresses. The setting of this place from the seating to the lighting was superb. This is the best spot I could’ve picked for a birthday, the pianist Ezra was thoroughly enjoyed. The hospitality was all round astounding. The food waiting periods were perfectly timed. Especially since Boks were playing we wanted to get out by 8 so we could watch the game. I don’t know what the waiters name was but he truly looked after us all night. I requested for the pianist to sing a song for my moms birthday and he got the whole restaurant to sing, you all made my Mother’s Day so so special!!! I also asked for a last minute request to put something together for dessert for my mom. Thank you chefs!!!! I truly appreciate the efforts the kitchen made to make my Mother’s Day an amazing occasion as well as our waiter and everybody else really! I’ve never experienced such vibey dining before, we were all moving in our seats to the sounds of Ezra while chowing down the food. Wow. I’ll be back again soon. Thank you!
