I’m still amazed that this place only has a 4.0-star rating, given the outstanding quality of both the service and the food. The staff is incredibly attentive, especially Sunny, who stood out as our superstar. He suggested his favorite dish, the Tempura rock shrimp, which quickly became our favorite as well. We dined here on our first day of the trip and returned for our last day before our flight, and Sunny recognized us right away! The food was delicious and served in generous portions. I highly recommend this restaurant!

The staff was very pleasant and friendly. We ordered the “seafood for two” for R410, and the portion was quite large for just two women. In fact, it was enough to serve at least 3-4 people. We even took the leftovers home with us!

A paradise for seafood lovers, Ocean Basket is located in the V& A Waterfront on the 1st floor. As you enter the restaurant, the aroma of the seafood being grilled to perfection devours your olfactory senses. The opulence of the interior seems to invite you into this seafood haven. The staff is a cut above the rest who ensure nobody leaves with an inch of space in their stomach. With a well curated menu, there seems to be something for everyone. Each and every dish is well plated and cooked/grilled to perfection and the entire gastronomical experience forces itself into the core memory for many years to come. Definitely one of the highlights of my trip to the Cape Country.

Zebedia was an amazing server! A smile on his face the whole time and super attentive. And Julian the manager was fabulous, so kind and helpful and relaxed. The food was beyond great and so affordable. The whole team was so great! Lovely atmosphere and can’t wait to come again!! Really loved it very much and would highly recommend!

The night we visited was SO busy, it was mad! No stress, the staff looked after us without breaking a sweat. The food was very good and was on our table very quickly, with no drop in quality. Overall, food was enjoyed by all and was simply delicious, uncomplicated and genuine. Definitely recommend!
