The Lobster House - CAPE MAY

Love this place. I've been coming here since I was a kid, every Summer. The food never fails, always delicious!!! The scallops are SO TENDER! I brought my boyfriend here for the first time and out of all the places we've visited in our 3 weeks here thissummer, this was his favorite.

This place was suggested to me by a good friend who lives close to The Lobster House. I was looking very forward to having dinner here. After an hour and twenty minute wait we got seated. I know going in how pricey this place is but I wasn't goingto let that stop me. I ordered the cold seafood platter. It came with three large shrimp (which were good), five crab claws,three mussels, and 1/2 of a one pound lobster with shrimp salad on top of the lobster. It was good but not worth what itcost. For my meal I ordered the broiled fisherman's wharf platter which was one shrimp with a little crab imperial stuffed ontop, three small scallops, one clam casino, a piece of flounder and 1/2 of a lobster (pretty sure it was no more than a onepound lobster) again with a little crab imperial on top. I was disappointed because the lobster was dried out and the amount ofcrab imperial was less than a mouthful. The service wasn't any better. I wish I could remember her name but it began with J . She was missing more than my crab imperial. I have no problem spending a lot of money on good food. I totally understandCape May but to me this place is a little over rated. For amount of time you wait to get seated and how you are over chargedjust because of the town you are eating in is not worth it to me.

There's a reason this place has been here for 100 years! Great food and great service and prices are appropriate for quality. Here's something for everyone. You have a fantastic fresh catch shop if you want to take something home to prepare yourself later. They have a smaller diner in front for a quick bite and they also have a large dining room with beautiful views of the marina. There is also a bar where you have full access to the available menu items. Many free parking on the street. If you go for lunch, order your fish on the plank! You will not be disappointed!

Great food with several options to eat. There's the restaurant, the raw bar, take and the Schionership. We ate out of the bar. We ate our food on the deck with a great sunset view. Soft bowl crab sandwich was not a joke and the best! Fresh shrimp, oysters and shrimp pizza also excellent. Great place for children and big parties, where you do not need a reservation or need to wait hours. Outdoor dining is great.

We decided to come here during the spring break. It is a little pricy, but an excellent substitute for the visit. My children and the broad were surprised how fresh and tasty lobsters are here. It was amazing. The vegetarian plate was also delicious. It was full of fresh vegetables and sweet pasta. I loved it. Other dishes and pages are also fantastic. The price is a bit high, but if I look at the quality of lobster and other seafood, I cannot complain. I wish I could come a lot.
