Harry's Ocean Grille - CAPE MAY

Limited menu, high noise level, efficient server with great humor!

Eating was good, but the menu was very limited. our server was very sweet and attentive.

I made my reservation on 11/2/22. I had confirmed my reservation on 12/2. at the arrival in harry's hostess told us that our sitting was changed, we would sit outside instead of having booked another party for the interior. she was almost rude. hostess told us that other mozens either came to the left or decided to deal with the cold. when we heard that we had outside seats, we tried to get a table in other restaurants, but all were booked that was not a surprise on a Saturday night. So we sat outside. it was cold, though there were heating lamps on the deck. the waiter we had was often excused, he saw how we were treated. he did great service. the manager also came to our table to apologize. she bought a round drink. Thank you. while we observed that we were not the only party that had problems with the hostess. I absolutely understand that in this economic climate the service industry has been stretched to a limit. most restaurants are short occupied. we expect to wait longer. no problem. but the attitude with which we were met was simply wrong, our seats should have been honored. sitting outside should have been more heating lamps (all diners were in their hands) at least the openings should have been safer to thwart the wind before blowing through.

Good was very good certainly would go again, however it is very noisy.

Food was okay. Tried gorgonzola chicken which is served over penne. I was excited because I'm huge fan of gorgonzola, however it was sprinkled on top and the sauce was more of red cream sauce. Also the chicken did not taste right so I skipped eating that. My husband got the burger and said it was good.
