Contribuiți la feedbackThe food was really good. I had the burned food. The place was also quite cool!
Eat well. It's not your usual barbecue. It is rustic, but raised and clean. I'm complaining I couldn't try a single visit anymore. We tried the Big Muddy and the Carolina. Both absolutely delicious. The bride on the big mud was well smoked and tender. The turkey on the Carolina fits perfectly to the in-law. We also tried the frits and a special page turkey Bacon ranch ts. Both were above expectations. I also have a Vanilla Caramel Bourbon Shake. The Bourbon was prominent and not overpowered. Amazing taste for someone who likes Bourbon. They do not serve Coca-Cola or Pepsi products, but opt for handicraft soda of their own. The cherry cola is good, but the root beer is easily the best choice. They serve a variety of beers, including craft beers, but I could not try this visit. The interior was beautiful with attention both on appearance and function. Decor itself seems to embody the name SugarFire. They are even a handwashing station to help with the afterworld of chaotic food.
Sugarfire in Cape serves up BBQ almost identical to the original in St. Louis which is a very good thing. Right through the door you can pick up a beverage (Excel soda, beer, tea) if there's a line. The fast casual service style works well with BBQ. One of today's specials was a brisket sushi roll, pictured below. It's was a good change of pace and they nailed the sushi (rice) aspect though there was a ton of it relative to the amount of brisket. Good stuff!
This is the most original of all bbq places in Cape Girardeau
Really good bbq and great staff. Several different bbq sauces my favorite is the coffee bbq sauce. Also try the white bbq sauce for an unexpected flavor. You won't leave hungry.
