Golden Corral Buffet Grill

It's been three years since I came to this place, my last review said that nothing had changed much to try it when I lived in Kansas again. Things have changed a bit. The fish tasted great, along with many things I tried. In the desert I loved the carrot cake I had. Well done.

Manager here just told us to in her exact words, leave and never come back . They didn 't have any steak so we asked for a refund because we were wanting steak and they didn 't have it. I made a comment jokingly about the sweet tea tasting weird like river water and then made a joke about it saying we are from Illinois our tea just probably tastes different because the water comes from lead pipes. She made the comment that their steaks are, made to order I 've never been to a golden corral that didn 't have them hot and ready. Extremely disappointed but it did give me a good laugh. I 'm not gonna lie I busted up immediately I couldn 't believe it. I have not once in my life been asked to never come back to a dining establishment it was wild we only asked for a refund. I wasn 't at all being serious previously making a joke. When she told us to leave and never come back I was like no wayyyyy I wish I had my camera out. It was tictok worthy. I can 't believe it. The cashier who initially checked us out was very nice so there 's some good to take away from it I guess

The food is amazing! Everything I tried, I loved! My issues are with service and cleanliness. Our server was great until a female coworker came up to him. Then he was on his phone and laughing and generally flirting with her. I had asked him 30 seconds before she showed up for drink refills. He forgot all about his customers when she showed up. I mean, yes, she was very pretty but still. Also, the bathroom was so nasty that I held it. There was an actual nasty feminine product on the floor. Stains everywhere. It was just disgusting. If they clean their kitchen as well as they clean their bathroom, I wouldn't eat there.

We come here a lot for breakfast, and every time it's amazing, so we figure we'd come here for lunch. Not so good, and we really don't know why. Steak tasted funny, everything just seemed off. The guy running the grill seemed more worried about keeping a tip jar in view than actually cooking. Everything-including dessert options-was bland and tasteless. What the hell happened? Guess we'll just go here for breakfast.

Good was ok for a buffet. Nothing to write home about. What I really want know know though is: 1 Why were there two employees having a smoke break right outside the customer entrance? Not everyone wants to walk through a cloud of smoke when they enter a restaurant. Kindly take the smoke break out the back door. 2 Why in the name of nasty, is there a freaking parrot squeaking in the dining area?! You know, the last thing I really want is a parrot squeaking while I try to eat, and birds are just nasty anyway. Does the health department approve of birds on the dining area?
