Sams Live Lobster - CAPE ELIZABETH

Great option for both live and cooked lobsters. Sam is very friendly and has a great little operation. Call ahead about 20 min for steamed lobsters and stop in for live ones. Prices were on par during our visit in Aug 2017: 1 lb. $5.99, 1.25 lb $6.99, 1.5 lb $7.99.

I really enjoyed the convenience of ordering locally. I sent a text with a few questions and placed my order. I was able to pick it up just 10 minutes later, which was super easy! The lobsters were exceptional. I’ll definitely be returning.

This review is solely based on their poor communication. They are closed for the season, but I only discovered this when I went there in person. A simple notification would have been appreciated and could have saved me a trip. They really need to update their status on Yelp.

Sam and his father operate one of the finest establishments for sourcing high-quality local lobster. Ever since I discovered them, I haven't purchased lobster from anyone else. If you're seeking fresh, live, or cooked lobster, this is the place to go! It's situated away from the main road, so it’s not a tourist trap but rather a genuine family-run business.
