Contribuiți la feedbackThis a place for serious and patient eaters. The food is outstanding and the wine list superb. The prices are very reasonable. The service is slow, but the food is so good, we did not mind. We are relatively small eaters, but even the most reticent of the other customers were having three courses and some the whole smash..antipasto, pasta, meat or fish and the dessert. One stalwart couple who arrived when we did were launching into a lampuga (dolphin fish)that must have weighed 1.5 kilos as we left. Take a taxi from the city centre (it is not far), ignore the surroundings (garages and garden centres), leave plenty of time and have a great experience.
If you want to eat outside the city walls of Luca this is a very good alternative. You can eat good quality food for the same price as in the touristic centre.
I often go with my family to eat at this restaurant, because every time they surprise us with their creativity and kindness. The fish is always fresh and they have a very good meat, collects dishes in our whole tradition. The welcome is exceptional and certainly the expertise of the sommelier will help you enjoy a good dinner.Council to all those who want to try the real cuisine of Lucca and Tuscany.
This restaurant was recommended to us by the owner of the villa we rented in Guamo, just outside Lucca. We went to celebrate the birthdays of a couple of the friends traveling with us, and had a great experience. We were seated on an outdoor patio surrounded by greenery, which was very inviting. There was plenty of room around each table, so it didn 't feel crowded. And though smoking is allowed outdoors at Italian restaurants, fortunately no one around us was smoking and there were no ashtrays on the tables. The staff doesn 't speak much English and the menu is all in Italian, so be prepared for some communication challenges. But the food was excellent, from the antipasti all the way through pastas and main entrees, to desserts. The wine list is fairly small, but carefully curated with lots of delicious local and regional selections. This is a white tablecloth type restaurant, and priced accordingly. But we felt the prices were reasonable for the quality of the food, presentation, and service we received. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would gladly eat there if we visit the area again.
This restaurant is in a business area of town and so a little unprepossing however the food is delicious and the service very friendly. The evening we went we were the only non Italians there and although we were the first people were stilling coming in to eat at 9.30. The food was delicious and the portions generous our waiter was helpful and very charming. Would definitely recommend this restaurant, worth a trip outside the walls of lovely Lucca.
