Contribuiți la feedbackWe two senior couples stayed two nights. First impressions were mixed because the room, though huge, was in need of a good cleaning. The tiny shower door was dirty, as were the small rugs and the inside of dresser doors. Probably a factor of being late in a busy season. Only soap was the liquid sort. Very old furniture. But otherwise, absent these rather minor matters, this was amazing. Rooms have air conditioning but also screens on the windows, a big plus. The food at dinner was outstanding, as was the inexpensive wine. We had the usual four courses and the main course was buffalo in two very different forms. Homemade preserves for breakfast were superb. The grounds are charming, and the fountain in the swimming pool provided great sound. The key here is people. Nicholas ? was a fountain of information, and he took us to the farm for a guided tour of the buffalos. Super nice guy who helped when our car had a flat tire. We really enjoyed his company. The baroness is simply charming, super friendly, outgoing, and a great hostess. She is a great chef, and when we told her our daughter-in- law was also a chef, the result was a great conversation about restaurants, chefs, and cookbooks. All in all, this was simply a delightful day and a half. I recommend this agriturismo. Location is a four minute drive from the famous Greek temples. And the price is very inexpensive. We thought the total experience was fabulous.
We ate here two nights while staying here. The food is a great example of home cooking of the region. The Antipasti plates where both delicious and the pastas where very good. We enjoyed the wine and the setting. The service was very homestyle.
Our family of 4 enjoyed our first night and stayed an extra two nights! The location is perfect, the grounds beautiful, our room with AC and WIFI was comfortable, the kids loved the pool and friendly dogs we all enjoyed the breakfast and thoughtful vegetarian dinners ... Our highlights were the buffalo farm tour and the delicious entertaining communal dinners, Nicolai and the staff are great! Highly recommend ...
Disclosure, we know the owner. Regardless of that, the high marks for the food here are because it was sooooo yummy. Albeit a ton of food (antipasti course, pasta course, main and dessert) Come hungry! Each meal comes with a bowl of the yummy bufala mozarella. One night our pasta dish was a simple flat noodle with a zucchini sauce . one night an artichoke pasta. really delicious. One of my favorite courses was a very simple asparagus fritta for the antipasti. Perfectly seasoned. The staff is wonderful. There was another couple with us that had an adorable and semi hyper dog that they were super patient with. they treated everyone with such kindness and care. The lodging itself is gorgeous and I would love to be there at a time of year when you could sit outside to eat. Loved our stay here!
We stayed one night and it was very memorable. The room was in an 18 century villa. The food was lovely. The grounds were terrific. Highly recommended.
