La Gloria Modern Mexican - Canyon Park

What a great surprise. I went to meet a friend for a margarita and discovered this place. You wouldn 't expect quality of this stature in a Canyon Park business park.The first time I visited, I raved about the cocktails for weeks. The Hello Frida is one of the best margaritas I 've had. There are enough margaritas choices to please anyone all ingredients made from scratch.I returned later to find the food is just as good. We asked for chips and salsa (which is not printed on the menu) and the server came to the table with freshly made tortilla chips and an awesome salsa. Another instance of the best I 've had. The tinga enchiladas in a poblano cream sauce were superb. My friend loved the ribeye tacos.Great place! Excellent real Mexican food and drinks, good music at a tasteful volume. 21 and over, so no crying kids (if this appeals to you), and great service. At least, stop by for a cocktail, you won 't be disappointed.

We ordered food from here and our order was placed and then when it was time to pick it up there was a sign on the door that said closed, even though it was 5pm and the website said it would be open. They still charged us $56 dollars….

Arrived just before 10 pm and they invited us in for drinks. They were very friendly even though advertised closing at 10 as others were still here. Drinks were so good and they were so welcoming we ended up having two rounds! The atmosphere is perfect for a cocktail

We came in not knowing what to expect but this is a hidden gem! The food was not your typical Mexican white people food and authentic. We've never had food like this. Everything was absolutely delicious and service was superb. I highly recommend trying this place! A little pricy but it was worth it.
