Lapizzaria - Canton

The food was excellent and abundant. We held a family event in one of their private rooms, and the staff was both friendly and attentive. We enjoyed a family-style meal, and the restaurant was clean with a lovely ambiance that was perfect for our family gathering.

As for me, I had a dinner salad, which was passable, but my main dish was cranberry-crusted salmon. The plate was mostly filled with risotto, leaving just a tiny piece of salmon that had a couple of dried cranberries scattered on top. I couldn't eat anything on the plate because it was excessively salty. Usually, when we come here, I request veal piccata, even though it's not on the menu, but this time was different. I was told they were too busy to prepare it that night and that other diners might be put off if they saw someone with a non-menu item. What nonsense! Perhaps it was for the best, considering how disappointing our meals were. When we finished, our waitress had vanished and we never saw her again; another server brought us our check. There's an old saying that most people don’t complain; they just don’t return. That’s exactly what we’ll be doing.

I visited the restaurant last Saturday and have dined there a few times in the past, but it had been a while since my last visit. Unfortunately, this was the worst meal I’ve had there. The place was crowded, so I’m not sure if that contributed to the issues we experienced. I ordered blackened shrimp over pasta with oil and garlic, but they mistakenly brought out blackened salmon instead. When a staff member who wasn’t our waiter delivered the wrong dish, he seemed irritated when he had to take it back. The kitchen quickly put together the correct order, but it was disappointing! The shrimp had very little seasoning, and there was hardly any olive oil on the pasta. I’m really unsure if I'll return.

The wait was horrible. There were only two of us, yet it took 90 minutes to get our food after ordering. Pasta was way over cooked and mushy. Red skin potatoes with herbs was just chopped up russet potatoes with pepper. The mashed potatoes were significantly over buttered (which I didn't know until then that it was even possible).

Very good meal. Haven't been here in many years. Went for a family jiday meal and it was very good. The fettuccine Alfredo with parmesan crusted chicken was big enough for 3 meals. I ordered a baked potato instead of a salad and received 2 potatoes. My sons got the gnocchi with spinach and artichoke sauce and the egg plant parmesan. My wife her usual angel hair pasta with meat sauce. Very attentive staff and all of the food was prepared amazingly. Will be back again soon.
