Antica Trattoria Del Riccio

We had a large gathering of all my family and my cousins families a while back. Our parents had immigrated from Cantalupo and we were coming back to check out our Italian roots. The meal or better yet the feast prepared was fantastic. Pastas with local mushrooms, anti pasta, meats and deserts were all superb. We spent close to a month traveling throughout Italy and Sicily but the meal here was everyone’s favorite! 5 stars from la famiglia Peccia!

Great Molisani meal with some modern touches thrown in. Excellent Pasta and carne. To top it all off, we had a semi-frozen amarena (wild cherry) drink that was a taste of heaven.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared by Mena Sisto. a Great salad, then pasta with a yummy dessert. She was a joy to chat with and after the meal, she walked us to the Pacifico bakery to meet my distant cousins. Short but lovely stop in Cantalupo nel Sannio.

Delicious food, great welcome and wonderful local. I'll definitely come back if there were ten stars I'd put ten. I recommend it to everyone. Congratulations.
