Italian Village Pizza - Canonsburg

I stopped by for a quick lunch and ended up getting two thick-crust slices along with a complimentary drink.

I never considered ordering from this place since Fioris is nearby and a personal favorite. However, we gave it a try tonight, and it was fantastic! We ordered the traditional pizza with pepperoni and a Caesar salad. The dressing was homemade, and the salad was packed with fresh greens. Overall, it was a really pleasant experience.

The pizza, salad, and hot cheese balls arrived as promised, and thankfully, our order was correct. However, we found a few aspects a bit underwhelming: 1. The crust was quite bland, tasting primarily salty, but it wasn't greasy. 2. The salad looked unappetizingly put together; the ingredients—lettuce, peppers, onions, olives, cheese, and tomatoes—were just piled in mounds in the plastic container, which was a bit odd. 3. The hot cheese balls were merely fried cheese, heavily breaded, with only the occasional hint of flavor. They lacked any real heat, other than what remained from frying—definitely not what we expected. 4. Lastly, the dough was stretched so thin that there was a hole in the center. You can't see it in the photo, but the toppings were sitting directly on the cardboard. So, is the $50+ delivery worth it? Not really. There are plenty of pizza options in the area, and for the same price, you can find better or worse. I would rate this place in the middle with three stars.

Horrible pizza. Picked up medium with mushrooms. Outside crust burnt. Inside dry sauce and cheese from being over baked. Fooled me once. But never again.

The pizza tastes right from Italy! They give great service and great food!
