Hai Duong Restaurant - CANLEY VALE

Went here for lunch on a whim as we saw the place packed with locals and so glad we did . It looks like just another suburban eating place but the food takes it to another level. We had the fresh spring rolls , a duck soup dish and a seafood stir fry. All the meals were fresh and tasty and the serves very generous. The ambience was great , full of locals enjoying their food. The service was attentive but unobtrusive.

I've been to this place a few times for the steaming hot bowls of pho which are really fresh and tasty. On my most recent visit I tried the lemongrass and chili pork chops. They were awesome. Heaps if flavour and two generous sized chops with broken rice salad and soup. All for $11. The perfect lunch.

The food at this restaurant is very disappointing. I ordered the Laksa and it arrived cold, with no chicken in it. This was my third visit and each time the soup has been below average.

I don't understand why this restaurant is so popular. I had high expectations because of all the glowing reviews, but the meal turned out to be quite disappointing.

I enjoy affordable and pleasant restaurants where you can always count on good food, quick service, and reasonable prices.
