Baton Rouge - Candiac

My wife and I decided to have lunch at this restaurant and we are happy we did. The service was quick and friendly, and the food was delicious. The menu offered a wide variety of options. I particularly enjoyed my Power Salad with salmon, which was a good portion size and very tasty. The staff at the restaurant were bilingual, and the menu was available in both French and English.

My wife and I and two other couples recently had a family birthday dinner at the Baton Rouge restaurant in Candiac and we were not overly impressed. Getting seated was a slow process even though we had reservations. The table service table service was slow as well, even though there were not many people seated at the restaurant. I ordered the rack of pork ribs with fries and my wife ordered the ahi tuna salad. The big disappointment was that the ribs were served at close to room temperature (myself and my brother-in-law ordered the same rib dish and had the same experience), so my meal was not close to warm. In addition, my wife wanted to add pepper to her ahi tuna but the waiter did not come back with the pepper mill after being asked. After several minutes, I got up and crossed the restaurant to ask him for the pepper and he told me to go sit down and he would bring it to us (which in retrospect I should have complained then to the manager for his rudeness). Another five minutes passed before the pepper was delivered. The pork ribs tasted alright, but frankly they're not smoked but only slow-cooked in BBQ sauce for several hours. I have frankly made better pork ribs on a Kamado Joe BBQ. My wife's ahi tuna was OK but the accompanying salad was huge, almost like the restaurant was compensating for something. At no time during our stay did the waiter ask us how our meals were, etc. It was only at the end of the meal when the manager came over to see how things were and my wife complained about the cold ribs. She was effusive in her apologies but it would have taken a long time to have the problem rectified had I reported it right away. I don't think we'll return to this restaurant and I cannot in good conscience recommend it to anyone.

Although Bâton Rouge is a chain restaurant, we had a great time dining there. The service was outstanding and the food was fantastic. My husband ordered the ribs, while I opted for the General Taos Chicken salad. The portions were generous. The restaurant was clean and the booths were spacious, providing a comfortable and private dining experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

This Baton Rouge restaurant is our top choice for family dining. We have had many memorable moments here with both family and friends. Our children especially appreciate that they are treated with the same respect and attention as the adults. A big shout out to the entire staff, from the management to the servers! Cheers to a wonderful dining experience.

The food is awesome and the staff very friendly and bilingual. Comfortable seating and great lighting.
