Chez Victor - Cancale

Seafood platter was so fresh and so good. My friend had the coquille saint Jacques plate and said it was super yummy! Highly recommend this place if you're in Cancale.

This is the spot for seafood. Especially oysters. The oyster beds in the sea are 100 meters away. Everyone was having high seafood orders. We kept it simple. It was great

A close friend told me that Cancale was home to the best oysters anywhere. He 's right and I 'll extend that to all the seafood. We ordered the seafood sampler platter, which is a Cancale standard, with a wide array of shellfish, mostly raw, including oysters, a steamed crab, sea snails, a sea almond or dog cockle (which is not really a cockle). The platters come in sizes we got the smallest one, 57 euros, which was way more than enough for two. My only complaint is the service, which started great but got verrrry slow (and I mean, by French dinner standards) after the place got busy. Dessert (an ok, not great, baba au rhum) took more than 30 minutes to arrive. But I don 't know how common that is and really, it 's ok the seafood was that good.

Perfect seafood with a reasonable price. Deserts are amazing. View, the staff and the Victor himself are unique experience for the area.

Very recommended.We ordered the sea food platter. Amazing variety with a delicious taste and very rich! We also ordered the mussels even though the friendly waitress said it's not their season (July-November) and they it won't be the best, it was amazing, I wonder how good will it get in the season! All the desserts are recommended, ask the staff for recommendations.Not to be missed for a great experience
