Mike's Place - Canby

I visited a restaurant on February 26, 2023, and had a disappointing experience with the bartender. I presented my state ID, but she refused to accept it because there was no expiration date printed on it, despite the fact that it clearly showed my date of birth as February 4, 2020. As someone who does not drive, I don't have a driver's license, which complicates things. The bartender scanned my ID, but still denied it because the online reference image did not match my state ID. Overall, it was frustrating to be treated this way.

The bartenders here can be hit or miss. Unfortunately, I had a bartender who seemed unsure about checking IDs. They took my ID and compared it to an online ID, claiming that my state ID wasn't valid since it didn't match a date they were expecting. They said I should have my learner's permit date listed, but I've never driven, so that's not applicable to me. It was quite frustrating trying to explain that.

For almost 42 years. Various owners, same nice quiet environment to enjoy a few cold delicious adult drinks and meet many cool people. Very recommended.

They wanted to join a job. There is hardly any place to sit, music is so loud that you have to scream, and the bathroom was pretty rough. The food was pretty good, so it's not a total laundry. And honestly, if you're planning to drink a bunch, it's a pretty lively place until a Friday night goes.

We stopped here for lunch but they don't really offer lunch. We had an appetizer and a beer. Waitress was busy at the bar. Seemed like she was the only person there.
