Wilma - Canberra

Disappointing experience. The food lacked variety; everything tasted quite similar, and I was expecting some spice—where was the chili? It felt rather bland. I specifically requested that the cocktails be served before the appetizers and that there be a pause between the appetizers and main courses, yet everything was brought out at once. I go out to enjoy the dining experience, not just to eat.

Everything was satisfactory, but nothing stood out as exceptional. The staff was friendly and professional, although the service started off a bit slow (it felt like we might have been overlooked). The food was enjoyable, but the portions were on the small side for a banquet intended for six people.

The kingfish served on betel leaf was a standout dish, and the spicy eggplant was also really excellent. However, the chicken salad and coconut were disappointing. I want to extend my congratulations to our waitress Jess, who had to handle some challenging customers at the table. She did an amazing job!

Best modern Cantonese we have had in Canberra! Food was excellent, service was great and we cannot wait to come back!
