The City Labor Club - Canberra

We ate dinner and found it to be quite ordinary. They weren't overly welcoming once they found out you weren't going to put money through the poker machines. Steak was small and tough. Salad was old and tired. Post-mix soft drinks were barely flavoured. Very noisy and not really a nice atmosphere.

We had dinner here hoping to find a good club style with atmosphere. As with other Canberra clubs in the city, it is small and hard to find. We were lucky to get a street park in the next block. With the help of Google Maps we almost walked right past. The welcome at the door and staff were friendly and courteous. The food was good, prepared the way we like. With a big glassed frontage, our view was of a drunk urinating in the gardens just outside. We decided to stay a bit longer to give the drunk time to move on, so we retired to the gaming area which is also small. Apart from the free entertainment, our time here was pleasant.

Stopping in for dinner the meals were tasty and reasonable prices.Staff were lovely too.Short walk from most hotels in the area too

Great place for breakfast in the city. Very affordable, no modern twist good old fashioned breakfast

I eat here about once a month and it has good pub grub. I come for lunch and have never been disappointed with the food. The staff is friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
