Italo Australian Club - Canberra

The two times I've come here, the food was okay, but the experience I received from two of their receptionists was both hospitable and straight up amazing!! So nice and lovely! Particularly Matilda, great girl, simply no words!!

Attended a function there. Food was average, service was average. Place needs a revamp. Good size hall.

I visited this restaurant for a great meal five years ago and it was lively. The meal was decent as well. However, it is no longer the same as it used to be, with large sections now unused. When we recently visited for a meal, we were disappointed to find that the bistro was closed, and we were the only ones in the bar area. I was a bit frustrated to have to pay a $1.00 'visitors membership fee - I have been to many clubs across Australia and have never encountered this before! Save your time and instead visit the Kingston Hotel, which is about 0.5 km away, for good pub food.

When we went up to the Italian restaurant we felt like we were in a time warp back to the 60's or 70's in a NSW RSL Club. However food was very tasty and good sized servings

The service in the club was very poor and the menu was limited. The whole place needs an overhaul and staff training.
