Hippo - Canberra

Cool little whiskey bar upstairs with moody lighting and a huge range of whiskies. Also cocktails, beers and wines and also toasties if you’re snacky.

I originally rated this restaurant lower, but after further consideration, I am upgrading it to four stars. The bar service was excellent and the band was musically pleasing. However, the crowd was quite rude, talking loudly while the performers were on stage. The atmosphere was a bit dark for my taste, but I acknowledge that others may enjoy it.

Fantastic, fantastic place!!! bartender was great, personable and kind. The interior was great, and in a great location. Central and you would barely know it is there unless you were looking for it.

Amazing staff who were very professional and quick to make great quality drinks. Ru rubarb cocktail was great. The jaffle was great too

This venue is one of the best for whisky tasting I have ever been to the Talisker one was my third and was extremely well organised can't wait for the next one
