Waited 10 minutes on the steep stairs to be seated, then waited over an hour for our food to be delivered. Whilst the food itself was fine, it was nothing to rave about in the end. Have been a patron for many years, but don’t expect I’ll be back. Definitely not as good as it used to be and is looking more and more shabby as time goes on.
Easy location, great staff, food was hot and delicious.
Incredible! The pancakes were absolutely delicious, and the mega chocolate shake was icy cold just like shakes used to be! The staff were friendly and never stopped moving, with the chef working overtime to get the food out quickly. We highly recommend Capital Pancakes and will definitely visit again next time we are in Canberra!
We visited the restaurant for the first time since it was rebranded and we were very impressed. Our usual items were not only cheaper but also of better quality. We saved about $10 for three people compared to what we usually spend at The Pancake Parlour. The Blueberry Stack was especially amazing and better than the previous Blueberries dish. The option to choose the number of pancakes we wanted was a nice change, and as a fan of cinnamon, I appreciated it. We were worried about our favorite Swiss Mountain Malt being gone, but we were happy to see it now called Mega Shake.
I have been frequenting the Parlour for 20 years now. It is an amazing spot to relax in a booth and savor not just the delicious food and good company, but also the ambiance. The fact that this place has remained unchanged during the 20 years I have been visiting is what truly sets it apart. It never fails to impress me.
