Lakeview - Canadensis

I ordered the grilled salmon and requested the waitress to ask the chef to avoid cooking it too crispy. She mentioned that she had never been advised to order it that way, but she checked with the chef, who understood my request. The salmon was cooked perfectly, served on a bed of lentils with sautéed spinach and topped with roasted nuts. I relished every bite. My husband also ordered the same dish and left the cooking time up to the chef, and his salmon was cooked just right for him. For dessert, I honestly expected something special to commemorate our anniversary, considering we notified them when making our reservation. We chose the tiramisu, but it was dry and lacked the typical coffee-soaked richness that makes this dessert a delight. Overall, the meal was good, and the servers were attentive, though not exceptional. The price reflected the overall experience. The restaurant is situated by a lake, which would typically enhance the ambiance, but after dark, the view was limited to a lawn with a fire pit and some Adirondack chairs, which didn’t feel particularly romantic. There was a front deck with a cozy fire and chairs, ideal for relaxing under awnings, but it was too chilly on the night we visited to enjoy it for long.

After a frustrating beginning, where we waited over 10 minutes with only two families ahead of us, the hostess process was extremely slow. However, we eventually enjoyed a decent meal. The view of the lake was lacking; it resembled more of a swamp! The food was satisfactory and arrived fairly quickly. Unfortunately, the drinks were not good and quite pricey.

Nice mediterranean restaurant with great view. Food tasted good and very presentable. We had birthday dinner during the spring vacation. Friendly and helpful staff.

The food was excellent, and it was enhanced even more by the friendly and highly professional staff. The waitstaff and bartenders were outstanding.

Good service and good food. We had seafood and it was excellent. Only complaint was that they were out of the first 3 wines we asked for and then poured and charged for the larger pour of wine without asking.
