The Riverview Restaurant - Campbellford

4 of us went there 4 dinner and enjoyed it and the view of the river. Food was good as was the service. Would go back again

Tried this place for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised. My hamburger was just the one I've been looking for. Homemade patty, soft fresh bakery bun. The rosty was a great starter also, (ask for extra dip!) Rest of family enjoyed their meals, especially the silver dollar fries.Not the prettiest or newest place but I will definitely be back for the burger alone.

This was my third family visit for a relaxing dinner. I brought my European Cousins here for a very good meal. We reserved but it was near closing time and not busy.

Great food, excellent service, what more could you ask for. As a group we usually meet for breakfast at least once a week. Never had a negative experience. Only restaurant in town that will accommodate my many food restrictions, evening going beyond and preparing soup that wasn't offered that day. Beautiful view of the Trent while you ate. Highly recommend

Our regular favourite spot for Sunday morning breakfast has been discovered by the masses, so we set out in search of a new hidden gem. In hindsight, I should have trusted my instincts (and my nose) when I walked into the Riverview Restaurant. So my bad for staying and hoping. We sat at a table that hadn't been cleared and waited. Eventually one of the two haggard and disorganized servers sent someone from the kitchen over to our table with the nod of her head in our direction. He was pleasant and thorough with his table cleaning, but that was the last bit of service we received. The two servers careened around the restaurant from one disjointed task to another never acknowledging us, no menus, no drink orders, no smiles. After 30 minutes had passed we got up to leave and one of the servers bleated something out about how they were trying their best and then reported my lack of patience and appreciation to her colleague, who took the time to sneer at me. By the look of the food that was left on the tables of the other patrons, I think we probably dodged a bullet by taking our leave when we did. It turned out the man who cleared our table was the owner, but he seemed oblivious to the ineptitude of his servers. Soon after we discovered Be My Guest Restaurant on the other side of town where a bright, airy dining room, lots of menu choices, smiles, great service and a really good country breakfast were in abundance.
