Merecroft Village Pub & Restaurant MVP

We've been in town for 2 years now and never tried MVP, outside just seems a little dingy. We went for dinner on a Sunday and it was great. Ordered drinks and the appy platter. It says no substitutions so we ordered an additional appy, and she offered to sub it in for $3. Food was awesome for that cheap of a price, huge appy platter fed both of us. We ordered drinks with a top shelf alcohol, she came back just minutes later just to let us know exactly what the drinks would cost (worried we hadn't realized what we ordered) so we wern't surprised once we saw the bill. This was really appreciated. Happy with the service we were in and out within an hour.

Lunch time in the restaurant section my husband had Veal cutlets and I had a salad and yam fries. We were satisfied. Every time I have went it was good! They have different items to satisfy different tastes. I recommend for sure.

Stopped here because it was beside the theatre and we were early and had 45 min to burn. We sat on restaurant side, decor was slightly outdated and it felt forgotten, like the pub side was loud and fun and restaurant side was dead silent, cold and forgotten. But the staff was super friendly and the clubhouse sandwiches made up for it, it was fresh broiled chicken breast- delish...so good with fries and onion rings. Caesar salad was great too. Salt n pepper wings were the only disappointment, no flavour. Will go back again

In reading all the bad reviews, i had to check to make sure I ate at the same place everybody in these reviews was talking about. Same place so, here goes. We were going to a late movie and decided to pop in for some food. It's a pub with pub food. The atmosphere is, wait for it, a pub. We seated ourselves and within seconds a friendly person gave us menus, explained all the dinner and movie things, took the drink order, etc. Nice, cheerful, no issues.We ended up ordering the Wonton Soup. I know, it's a pub but the description was interesting so we gave it a shot. It was amazing. Simply delicious, big portions, really good wontons, and on and on. This was totally homemade, served beautifully, and was delicious. We had some other appy with the soup but the soup was so good and I was so shocked (it's a pub) that I can't even remember what the appy was.So, I can't speak to all the negative reviews except to tell you that our experience was great, the people great, and the soup was off the charts good.

Drinks took 15 minutes to come out, and food another 35 minutes. the place wasn't to busy because we noticed every other table had already eaten. Food finally came out and within less than 5 minutes of it arriving to our table the server came over with the bill and said "we are closing at 8", it was 7:50 at this point. We were asked how the food was 3 times which made us feel rushed so we didn't even finish our pack it go. Had the appi plater and the wings were dry with lots of little french fry bits and the rest of it tasted like it had come from a frozen box... The man sitting across from us had cold calamari too, Nothing seemed fresh. Wont be going back...
