Java Shack - Campbell River

Really nice environment both inside and outside next to Quadra Island Ferry... great coffee, and muffins and food.

We were recommended this place by our hotel, where we were told the sandwiches were quite large. So we decided to share a vegetable sandwich, and my partner ordered the cheeky monkeys sandwich while I opted for a coffee. The sandwiches were indeed hefty, and I was grateful we split one. Otherwise, the meal might have had some repercussions. The vegetable sandwich was made with fresh ingredients and tasted delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, which is why we also ordered a cheeky monkeys sandwich to go.

Earlier they have wonderful customer service and good experience here, this summer they have a new dark haired girl working and never blurred about the way she talked to us, how we were stupid, nor did she have anything... we asked her just stared us empty and said "I don't know"

On April 29, there was a lunch. At 1110 am. Incapable of ordering the Big Roasted Veg Salat because it wasn't lunch yet. So we both ordered the grilled cheese and an icy coffee, paid and took a place. There were five more... Tables all with two people except one of four. Ten minutes later, I rose up to check on our coffee, not that he called. A customer was just given a cup and the employee took their own coffee in the door in the back and started talking to the other front counter. She asked if she could help me. I asked about the ice cream coffee. Didn't I do it? She delivered her to the table soon. Forward. At 1145 I asked about the sandwiches. I was told that the cheese must melt longer. Two people worked in the kitchen. I heard someone in the kitchen said they were from bread and had to use wraps. After 1200 minutes the sandwiches arrived. During the meal, my friend asked how long two salads go...30 minutes. When we left, one voice in the kitchen said they were from the salad. Everything I've ever eaten here was delicious! I expected a slow service. But we went early so my friend could get back to work. That was inevitable slow. I will look for alternatives in Campbell River

I frequently order sandwiches or salads over the phone from this restaurant. The food is always fresh, satisfying, and delicious! If you go early enough, make sure to try the muffins - they are the best!
