Fire Away Roadhouse Rest Camp

Although we enjoyed our food immensely, we were seated near the bar (the only table available) and all the ppl that were waiting for tables, stood right in front of our table. It felt very crowded and I felt like ppl were staring at us so we would finish up quickly so they could have our table. Very uncomfortable. We had great service, at least!

This is our second event here. Everyone raved about the food both times. We had the fish fry served family style and the only thing I regret is not having two stomachs! The owners and staff work from the heart and seem to love what they do which comes through in the service, quality of food and atmosphere created. I look forward to coming back soon.

This review is mostly for the rest camp and the wonderful owners. We were camping in site 15. Was supposed to be for a week but we had some problems and ended up staying for 3weeks. The owners were very understanding . I'm grateful for that. My husband had the herb chicken and loved it. Rest Camp is great if you want to relax, no noise ,. No one to bother you. Again I want to tell the owners how grateful we were for everything.

I originally gave a better review as we had a good experience here last time. This time was not good. We were there a little over 1.5 hours. Didn't get our food until I told the server that we'd just pay for our drinks and go. The manager came out and said our order went in a little over an hour before and the timing was normal for them on steak nights. So we waited a little longer and when we received our food my fish was too tough to cut through and cold. The steak was extremely rare for a well done order the pick even said well done. Grandson had chicken which was hot, but fries were ice cold. We were so looking forward to a great meal. We did get part of our meal comped which made sense. However, the manager made several excuses when she could have just said, I'm sorry we messed up. We overheard other tables around us having issues as well. Won't be going again. Might have just been a bad night, but some of the excuses didn't add up. So that's why we won't go back.
