Contribuiți la feedbackCame here for a quick sandwich, really nice. Staff were very hospitable with my pickiness for certain fillings. Place has a nice atmosphere on a very sunny day.
My favourite spot and by far the best in the area couldn't recommend more! The croissants and cappuccino are my go to
Loved this find for brunch in the charming, quiet neighborhood of Primrose Hill. My husband chose smoked salmon with scrambled eggs on sourdough (very generous portion), and I had classic avocado (great value). Enjoyed the latte too. Great find, and charming cafe.
I have been let down too many times by this place. The coffee used to be great but the coffee and service has plummeted. We ordered Americano and a decaf latte and served up a Cappuccino and Decaf latte. They re-made the Americano in 30 seconds and you just new it was too fast. sat down to drink it and it was undrinkable. I couldn't be bothered to take it back but promised myself that this was the last time. I have visited many times and this has happened again and again.
I visited the Ripe kitchen on Thursday 18th and Friday 19th July. On the Friday I popped in for an infamous chicken and herb toastie. After waiting 15 minutes, two people that had come in at least 5 minutes after me, had been given their toastie and I was left waiting (this was by no mistake, the ladies working were clearly friends with the gentleman that took the toastie before mine). When I asked where mine was I was met with a very cut off “yeah it’s coming”. 20 minutes later when my sandwich was handed over, I had asked the lady how the gentleman had bypassed the whole line to which she shrugged her shoulders. I’d then explained the same thing had happened the day before (I’d waited 20 minutes whilst they’d passed out all the sandwiches then had to make mine from scratch) to which she apologised. I told her I appreciated the apology and said thank you. I had just stepped out the shop (yes my back was to her) and she said rather loudly “pipe down”. I turned around and addressed this with her, which she obviously denied claiming she had said “he pipped in first”. I know exactly what I heard….. My back was turned, my ears were still working. This is not behaviour or level of customer service I’d expect from a member of staff in your establishment. Whilst I do not expect any compensation or even an apology, I think they should be aware this is how your customers are being spoken to. TWO STARS since the food is nice...but basic...but nice!
