This restaurant was extremely disappointing from beginning to end. It's shocking that a French restaurant wouldn't even offer bread to start. We placed our order at 7:40 but didn't receive our meals until over an hour later, and they were cold except for the sizzling trout, which was the only highlight. When we asked our waiter about the delay, he gave us a ridiculous excuse about the fish being slow cooked, which didn't make any sense. The leek gratin was a joke - a tiny portion for a hefty price. The steaks were overcooked and not as ordered. To top it off, we were offered a random terrine dish by the chef, probably as a way to make up for their mistakes. With so many errors, high prices, and lack of options, this restaurant should reconsider their presence in the industry.
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere is really cool and perfect for hanging out with friends or going on a date. The wine selection is excellent and reasonably priced. The food is all delicious, especially the duck, cod, fried potatoes, and st marcellin. I accidentally left my hat behind and the waitress went above and beyond to chase me down and return it to me. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future.
Very overpriced and limited menu. The duck came with next to no sauce and we had to pay extra for a paltry serving of vegetables. Wine list was limited and they only served one beer, which wasn’t even French!
We were very much hoping to enjoy Patron a neighbourhood restaurant serving traditional French food though came away underwhelmed. What can I say. Our starters were good, the mains average at best and whilst the ambience was a it just felt a lack of something as if hey we are busy and doing okay so do we need to try any harder. The menu and overall impression reminded us of Absinthe a now departed French restaurant in Primrose Hill. I get the idea and enjoy traditional French food and may be that is what we expect though on our recent visit to Nice we encountered new restaurants and styles of cooking which is way ahead of our experience here. If you are in the area and fancy a plat with a glass of wine I do not wish to put anyone off going though I think the Cote chain is just as good with more choice. The damage c£72 a head though this included a few drinks and a decent Chinon.
