Whilst waiting for our drinks we noticed a large amount of flies all over the cakes. They were having a feast. They were small flies. These cakes should be displayed under plastic see through cases. They need to tidy this up as it does look a pleasant coffee shop and should look after what they are selling.
Spent an hour here over very nice tea and coffee, sat downstairs on comfy sofa, staff friendly and helpful, funny being able underground beneath us
Met friend’s at Leyas for brunch and found it disappointing. Some of us waited nearly an hour for our food even though it wasn’t massively busy and even options such as toast came out cold. Staff were not very approachable.
We were drawn to Layla’s because the reviews looked good but when I say this is the worst breakfast I have ever eaten this is an understatement! We both ordered avo on toast which was served on Tesco white BREAD (not toast) the avo was a mouse sized portion and all in all absolutely shocking. The poached egg was hard in the inside! To top it off, we asked for some ketchup and got looked at like we were monkies.... they don’t do such a thing here. What’s clever about this place is that fact you have to pay for your food before you are served! That was most unsatisfactory £25 spent im absolutely gutted!
