I recently went for an interview nearby and decided to stop by this restaurant for a potential daily morning breakfast roll. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The roll had a nice crust but hardly any filling - I think I got about half a sausage at most. If they were running low on ingredients, they should have mentioned it. I ended up leaving the empty roll and choosing a meal deal from Tesco's nearby instead. I won't be returning to this restaurant.
This establishment is up there with any cafe in central London. Good food, fairly priced, friendly staff , and wait for it. A loyalty card ! Yes a loyalty card. Unheard off right ? You buy 7 breakfasts you get the next one free. I go out of my way to frequent this place. It's that good.
Cafe Romano is a great place for breakfast or lunch if you are staying in one of the many hotels or apartments in Bloomsbury. It's small, busy, and noisy, beloved by builders and students in the area. The food is good, and there's a wide range of items to suit just about all tastes. The food is served quickly and you'll be expected to be in and out quickly at busy times. You can take away too. A bacon roll and coffee is less that £5, and it's delicious too. There used to be loads of places like this in London, sadly not so many now. Use it while it's there.
I needed a quick meal during the middle of my day. The restaurant had a friendly atmosphere and served delicious comfort food. They had a variety of options including full breakfast, baked potatoes, burgers, chips, and paninis. I really enjoyed my experience.
