Contribuiți la feedbackIt was my friend Lucia who suggested meeting at Anima e Cuore for dinner, and she kindly offered to make a reservation, which proved to be quite a challenge. The restaurant is only open from 6:00-10:00pm Tuesday to Saturday, and it can be difficult to reach someone on the phone during those hours. Securing a table at Anima e Cuore is also a challenge, as it has been causing a buzz in the gastronomic scene since it opened in 2014 and is always fully booked. Located in a bustling part of Kentish Town in North London, from the outside, one might easily walk right past if they weren't aware of the culinary delights happening in the kitchen. Hurry!
The dining experience at this restaurant is excellent, but it would be even better if they would start accepting reservations through phone calls or returning messages. It seems like they believe they are too trendy to handle such mundane tasks. Customers shouldn't have to physically visit the restaurant just to make a reservation. This lack of communication is disappointing.
At first glance, the restaurant appears to be a small Italian deli, but it falls short of expectations. Upon entering, we were initially ignored by the staff before being informed that they were fully booked. Despite this, we were able to secure a table inside rather than in their garden. So we arrived with a bottle of prosecco to divide between two of us, and I discovered that the rest of the restaurant had decided for a bottle of red, everyone I love how much london uses byob. Anyway, the waiter exchanged our glasses automatically on champagne flutes and brought some delicious supplement brot to share (the way to my heart) after the absolute task of ordering food from the non-existent menu (the waiter rolls about 100 decisions for starter and pornstars and they expect that rember this, a glass prosecco down), we decided to start and start the starter consisted of a Stracciatella cheese fondu in a...more
It was a cold December's night. Being a little tardy for my friends, I scurried along Kentish Town Road looking for Anime e Cuore, what i imagined to be a busy and alluring Italian restaurant. Something seemed off when I found it; the door sign said closed, all I could see through the window was ice-cream and there were no people in sight. Confident I was at the right address though, I went inside and low and behold, there was a tiny restaurant hiding at the back Of the six or seven tables ours was the only one occupied. It was fully booked though (we were there relatively early in the evening and the closed door sign was to prevent any passers by from coming in only to be rejected)....read more
