We've stayed a couple of times. And it has always been just the right place to getaway to. A bit pricey but look for specials.

Stayed at the Hotel while on a work trip. I have had some bad experiences with the Restaurants before.Not this one. After a long day. flying into Toronto, spending a couple of hours trying to get into the country and then a nice long drive in rush hour traffic. I was ready for a good meal and a beer.Well the Fireside Lounge looked Ok. A few guests sitting at the bar and a couple of tables taken. Walked in and was greeted and told to sit wherever I wanted and was given a menu. In about 2 minutes I was asked if would like a drink? I asked what local beers were available and got a detailed list with description. I settled for the Sleeman's a nice IPA. The choice of food was good, with salads, steaks and lots of good sized portions available. I stayed in the hotel for 12 nights and apart from a couple of night eat in there every night.No complaints, got into a conversation with some of the other regulars when they found out I was English.Breakfast was also good, the staff in the mornings made me welcome and after 2 days I didn't even need to ask for tea. All in all a great place to eat.
