Cambridge Restaurant

Great breakfast options. I ordered pancakes with peameal back bacon and opted for the real maple syrup for a slight premium (why anyone would pollute otherwise good food with fake maple flavoured pancake syrup is beyond me). My companion had 2 eggs with toast, bacon, home fries and baked beans. Reasonably priced and ample portions for sharing. Decor may be a bit dated, but we were there to eat, not for the ambiance.

This is a fabulous restaurant! The food was 5 STARS!! The service was FABULOUS!! We will definitely be customers forever!!

Cambridge Restaurant is one of those greasy spoon style hidden gems in town. Located in Downtown Preston it's almost easy to miss among the busy traffic on King Street. The restaurant is very old, having been around for decades. The decor isn't amazing, but you don't come here for the wall art, you come for the great homestyle cooking. All the food is homemade and they offer lots of different variety. They serve all day breakfast and have daily specials all the time, which is quite cool. This morning I opted to get the Oktoberfest Breakfast. Big sausages, sauerkraut along with breakfast staples eggs, fried potatoes and toast made for a filling meal for sure. I've loved daily specials they've had in the past like potato pancakes that were excellent. They have a full menu, so this place is great for lunch and dinner as well. I've been there quite a few times over the years and can't recall having a bad meal. They're just one of those places that executes the basics so well. Stuff like having great french fries and gravy, or an amazing chicken club. They always seem to have a pretty gigantic menu, with lots of options, then multiple chalk boards in the dining room with even more stuff on it. There is parking around back, as well as a back entrance, so you don't have to fight for parking on King Street. They can get pretty busy, with lineups on weekend mornings to get a table.

Those who say can not mess up breakfast are wrong. This is a great restaurant; food was fantastic; service was extremely quick; and prices not out of control. Will definitely make this a favourite for breakfast when in town again!!

This place is legit!!! I have gone 3 or 4 times and I have never had a bad meal. They have a good size menu and always have a few specials to compliment it everyday. Great for a hearty breakfast or a way above average lunch.
