Le Méridien Cambridge-mit

Love this hotel. Our room was clean and quant. Charming lobby bar and atmosphere. Friendly staff. Check in was a breeze. And, we were offered Prosecco after our check in. Nice touch! Great location. Safe and walkable.Rooms: 5/5

This is a nice hotel in the heart of Cambridge within walking distance of the T and several eating establishments. It has the feel of a slightly upscale hotel without the attitude of one. Everything is clean and well-maintained. The wifi signal in the room was strong. The staff was very helpful in giving us information about the area and one gentleman even explained to me how to purchase a T ticket. On our first night, we returned from Fenway Park in a rainstorm in need of a late meal. The bartender, despite working alone, was able to serve lots of people in a timely and courteous manner, and the steak sandwich I had was delicious. The hotel price was reasonable; the parking price was expensive, though that's probably the norm in the Boston area. The one thing missing would be a store with late-night snacks (candy, chips, etc. . Otherwise, I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to the area.

The hotel was clean and comfortable with an excellent location right off Central Square. I really appreciated their efforts to be more sustainable and reduce plastic waste within their facility.But it was the staff that were phenomenal. Despite a constant flow of visitors, they kept the lines at the desk moving quickly during check in and check out and remained upbeat and polite despite how hectic things were. They also kindly stored our luggage when we arrived early in the day and (though I don't know if this is standard) even offered free sorbet which was very welcome after being out in the summer heat!

Impossible to talk to anyone on the phone. their automated phone system is slow and painful. room had a leaking vent so that the entry carpet area was soaking wet, likely mold issues. one bed was gritty, like someone had come straight from the beach and hopped under the covers. there was a rolled up piece of tape under the covers they must not have changed the sheets after the last guest. housekeeping changed the sheets after the first night, but did/could not do anything about the wet carpet.

Great location to visit MIT. Nice neighborhood with shops and restaurants. The T train/subway stop not far from the hotel. It made getting into Boston, visiting Harvard very easy. The beds were comfortable, shower very nice and housekeeping friendly.
