The sandwiches are quite good and reasonably priced for a tourist area. There are also many unique items available for purchase.

Cardullo's is an excellent choice if you're on the hunt for unique items that are hard to find elsewhere. For instance, they stock a specific brand of salty licorice that I usually have to order online with exorbitant shipping costs. In addition to that, their sandwiches are quite delicious. My only complaint is that the prices are a bit steep. I understand it's a specialty shop located in Harvard Square, but even by those standards, it's pricey. It's definitely worth a visit to browse around, especially if you're in search of something particular, but for many items, you can find more affordable options elsewhere. (I'd give it 4.5 stars, but I'll round down to 4.)

The sandwiches here are fantastic, and the selection is impressive. My favorite is the caprese! The bread is just perfect, and the ingredients taste incredibly fresh!

It's a bit expensive, but they have a lot of candy I've never seen anywhere else. They even have Marabou, Karl Fazer, and Milka chocolate (other than the Oreo kind) which I've only seen in Europe. Definitely a good place to go if you want to get someone some unique Valentine's Day candy.
