I'm so happy that I listened to my uncle and we ate there because it's a favorite now! we had scallops and king prawn as appetizers, then ordered sea eating grill, sea bass and king prawn masala as main. we had a cream broth. all tasted amazing! I'm going back to my next trip to cambridge!
Loch fyne is a fresh fish restaurant located opposite the fitzwilliam museum in cambridge. plaice, the whole fish in garlic and butter is really delicious. the 3-course menu is 12.9. they should definitely give a chance when they get bored by common fish chips.
Visited on Saturday afternoon as we were given a voucher for christmas was never before. there was a set menu and there was more choice than I expected and some nice things to choose. the restaurant is beautiful and we both really enjoyed our eating. I had to start muddling (delicious sauce and not gritty at all) and grilled meeresbass for the main course, it was spot on. my man had king prawns for the starter that he had a light nigger with (burning pieces he mentioned to the personal) and fish and chips for the porn he said was beautiful. the wine that came with the set menu was also surprisingly good! a nigger for me when we asked if we had some water on the table, we didn't expect it to be almost £5. the personal was very nice, especially the man who told me how I could make the clam sauce home. we both left full and happy that we would definitely return!
Tried the fish soup, fried cuttlefish and mackerel for mains. Not bad. The cuttlefish was the most memorable. Was hoping to order oysters and mussels but they were unavailable that day. Slick service and lovely cosy ambience.
Great seafood place! Loved their scallops, pork belly and grilled Seafood platter! The service is a bit slow. The place has a nice rustic charm!
